21 Day Fix... my views

Folks it has been a long....long time since I have focused on me. And after the third baby your body doesn't bounce back like it used to. Plus I am great at being lazy lol I mean serisouly I am was the best lazy person every. I had an excuse for everything and I was really good at using my knee as the biggest reason. I have had knee problems since I was in 6th grade. In high school playing tennis stressed it a lot. I saw an orthopedic dr who told me I had a short IT band (that when stressed will snap out of place -- and hurts to high heaven). As I got older- added weight and pregnancy weight I let that be my reason to be lazy. Which doesn't help the super tight IT band - which also causes it to become harder and more painful to be put back into place when it snaps out.
Anyway back to the main point my thoughts and results on the 21 day fix. My sister had used the workout dvds so she was able to set me up with a great coach. I decided to just get the containers and DVD and not the shakeology package. I was so excited to get my stuff and get started! It came on a Sunday and I ripped that open right away and did the "correct" day which was Yoga..... I'm sorry yoga lovers but it just isn't for me. In my 21 days I only did it twice and opted for a 3 mile walk the other day I was to do it.
Monday came and "total body cardio" was up.... This worked me over - it felt great, did it hurt YES! but the difference was I liked it! I had to modify a lot of things and probably took a couple extra seconds on the breaks but I did it. On the 3rd time I did it I only had to modify 1 or 2 exercises :)
Tuesday - "upper fix" I used to be strong and I was proud of it, this workout made me realize what I lost and how bad I wanted it back.
Wednesday- "lower fix" this is the one I was most nervous about. Feelings of laziness and knowing I could use my knee as an excuse crept it..... but I slammed that door real fast!!! I did it, again not without modifying things, but I did it...... AND you know what...... My knee didn't hold me back, not the way I thought. What had always held me back was me....
Thursday- Pilates- again sorry pilates lovers, but this is not my favorite either. I did it twice, but all the breathing and stretching always made me light headed. I did it twice, then opted to switch it out to the bonus dvd Plyo instead-- which was intense!
Friday- "cardio fix" again a great one, works you all over and keeps you sweating the whole time.
Saturday- "dirty 30" fast paced dvd that works you all over!
Sunday -yoga... again just not for me.

I am going to share some pics with you--- I am not comfortable sharing my weight, but I am happy to say I lost 5 lbs and.... 11.7 inches!!!!
Almost 12 inches people!
                                                     Before                                   After
Looking at the pictures I personally can see the change in my body- I know looking at them many might not see it.... and that's ok because I am doing this for me. My clothes feel different, they fit different.... I feel different.
I have not followed the container rules to a T, but I have been making conscious decisions on eating choices. I have cut down to 1 soda a day and over 50 oz of water daily. When Carson doesn't have speech we walk to drop off and pick up Aryssa at school ( half mile one way). So Monday-Wednesday-Friday I am walking at least 2 miles a day. When Carson has speech we have to drive in the morning but still walk to pick up so still a good mile in! I have been tracking things with my phone and a tracker and am trying so hard to hit 10,000 steps everyday.
This is a life change, I have to do it for myself and my family. I want to be able to run around with my kids, to show them to try and not to give up. I have finished my first 21 days and am pushing right on to the next.
"you can do anything for 60 seconds" "you are only quitting on yourself"
I am not a coach, I paid for this with my own money, I get nothing if you decide to change your life..... this is my journey and I am so excited for it.

Calming the Child...Plant Therapy Review

So folks I did it.... I jumped on the essential oil bandwagon.... and I am in love.
I asked a ton of questions and did my own research before finding Plant Therapy. What I love is Plant Therapy is not a MLM company, they truly have your safety and interests in mind. Here is a little more about Plant Therapy:
Because we believe in the power of essential oils, and know of their incredible benefits, we want them to be used in as many households as possible. Plant Therapy was founded with two goals in mind: we want to provide the highest quality essential oils (and accessories) at a price that everyone can afford and we want to provide the highest quality customer service.

Six years ago, Chris and Amanda Jones were given the opportunity to buy a small, all natural body care line company called Posergy. Posergy consisted of a full line of natural body care products and a line of natural makeup. They also sold a handful of essential oils to allow their customers to customize the body care products to their own likings.

Soon after the company was purchased, Chris decided to do more research on essential oils. It was then he found that most essential oils being sold, were either overpriced or not of high quality. With the help of a certified aromatherapist and naturopathic doctor, Chris dove deep into the world of essential oils. Three years later and after much research, Plant Therapy was founded.

Plant Therapy provides oils that are 100% pure, undiluted and of the highest quality. We source each oil from top suppliers around the world, buy in large volume, and negotiate the best prices possible. We then pass those savings on to you, the consumer! We also provide 100% customer satisfaction. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, we will refund your money or simply replace the product/s.

We want to have a relationship with our customers where they can trust us. We want them to feel comfortable trying new products, asking questions and becoming educated in the many uses and powers of essential oils. Part of this relationship comes from the desire that Plant Therapy has to educate our customers on not only the best ways to use essential oils but also the safest ways to use them. And with two certified aromatherapists on stafff, we feel like we can do this! When our customers pick up an essential oil, we want them to feel confident in it. We want them to know that they will have success because they know everything they need to about that certain essential oil and what it is best used for. We strive very hard to educate our customers. On our website, under each individual oil, you will find everything you need to know about that oil: the botanical name, chemotype (if applicable), origin of plant, extraction method, suggested uses, safety concerns and much, much more.
There is an amazing group on Facebook that has many knowledgeable aromatherapists as admins that help answer your questions and concerns. You can find that group here.
I have ordered from Plant Therapy a couple times before reaching out to them about a review- I was so happy when they agreed and sent me the kid safe synergy "calming the child"
Calming the child has the following essential oils in it: Mandarin, Tangerine, Lavender and Chamomile Roman. I linked you to all the ingredients so you can see the benefits each one has :)

Let me tell you this smells amazing when I diffuse it (diffuser is also sold by Plant Therapy and was purchased by me).

When I want to put it directly on the kids I follow the simple directions on proper and safe dilution right on the bottle! I have solid coconut oil I use, and also a liquid form that I can easily make into a roll on.
I recommend Plant Therapy to anyone that is looking to start or switch essential oil companies. They have amazing customer service ( one order I received had an oil that leaked, one quick email and I was sent a new one free no questions asked) they also have a live chat option on their website- I have used this many times asking about different oils and kid safe options.
They have a whole section dedicated to kid safe single oils and synergies (multiple oils working together).
Please go check out Plant Therapy and find out how you can use essential oils in your home!

I was not compensated for this review. I received the item(s) free of charge for reviewing purposes. All opinions and honest and my own.
